Intermediate Planner

Overview

Opportunity for an Intermediate Planner to join our Life Science Team in London.

The Assistant Planner supports Planners, Senior Planners, and the Regional Planner with the planning and programming of design, procurement, and construction activities associated with the works. They assist in managing the programme and planning during the preconstruction and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Support senior planners in defining the current programme status on all projects weekly/monthly.
• Review programmes, outputs, and phasing regularly with senior planners.
• Develop tracking schedules to maintain information and control production of programmes by subcontractors.
• Assist in developing the baseline contract programme, covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, ensuring all elements are logic-linked with a critical path.
• Ensure planning assumptions and decisions incorporate Sisk’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Support the development of construction methodology to demonstrate techniques and sequencing for safe project delivery.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience.
• Membership of relevant professional body, if applicable.
• Experience working within a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Knowledge of industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in construction management.
• Basic ASTA Powerproject training.
• Primavera P6 training.
• Presentation techniques training.
• Contract awareness.
