The
Overview
The Business Unit Information Manager (BU IM) is responsible for leading and governing digital Information Management across a specific business unit, ensuring that data and documentation practices align with company standards, industry regulations, and ISO 19650 principles.
This role acts as the key interface between the project-level Information Coordinators and the department, ensuring consistent, efficient, and compliant delivery of information across all stages of the project lifecycle.
The Business Unit Information Manager works closely with the Information Management, DPD and Design Management leadership team to sure consistent alignment and strategies.
They partner with projects, working to ensure they are set up for success from the outset and performance is maintained throughout the project life cycle.
They provide technical support and input to work winning teams and represent the IM function in the work winning process and in appropriate external stakeholder forums.
BU IM Managers oversee the effective implementation of the digital platforms in the BU, auditing projects to ensure compliance and alignment to the contract.
They provide line management support for their team of IM Coordinators, Snr IM Coordinators etc.
BU IM Managers will work closely with the Information Management and Digital Integration Lead on developing new digitalisation, reviewing of emerging platforms, and any additional support that is required.

Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of Sisk’s digital platforms and associated procedures for same across the Business Unit, with supply chain, and client teams.
- At project award, establish the Information Management platform (namely Dalux) and other digital platforms required on the project.
- Develop project specific procedure documentation and ensure implementation across the Business Unit and projects.
- Delivers \’hands-on\’ help, support and assistance to all appropriate internal stakeholders and our supply chain at a Business Unit level.
- Attend tender handover and project start-up meetings to capture knowledge from preconstruction stage and enabled / manage transfer of information to the Information Management platform.
- Develops and maintains strong networks throughout the business, communicating widely and appropriately, to build a positive Information Management culture.
- Develops Bulletins and other communication content.
- Develops the team according to the relevant learning & development policies and processes, including the Personal Development Plan (PDP) cycle.
- Assesses the skills and levels of competence of team members and identifies any development needs or Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) intervention
- Considers learning and development to be a lifelong activity and is aware of and promotes the need to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to keep pace with changing standards, techniques and methods.
- Assists and identifies development opportunities and encourages team members to undertake learning and development.
- Grows and enhances the team by supporting job role creation, reviewing candidates, interviewing and providing feedback.
- Manages the assignment and prioritisation of tasks to individuals (including setting of clear goals and appropriate deadlines, conducting regular reviews and assessing other competing tasks).
- Maintains awareness and application of legal and contractual requirements relevant to their role such as but not limited to: a) agreed timeframes within the main contract, b) Project specific review requirements (RDD, client approval, etc), c) Weather station noted in the main contract.
- Maintains awareness of differences of opinion of stakeholders when anticipating and preparing for potential conflict and identifies root causes rather than symptoms to create paths to resolution.
- Develops self, according to the relevant learning & development policies and processes, including the Personal Development Plan (PDP) cycle.
- Knows and understands the requirements of our standards and expectations.
- Delivers appropriate education and coaching on requirements of our standards and expectations.
- Delivers content to effectively communicate changes to the ‘Information Management processes and procedures’ to internal, supply chain and external stakeholder audiences and documents appropriately.
