The UK Build North Business is looking for Quantity Surveyors to join the team. We have positions available on a large Build scheme in Manchester. Working alongside the Project Director, the role will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk. The team are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make a step up to Senior Quantity Surveyor in the near future. John Sisk & Son have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate sub-contractors, negotiation & finalising sub-contract orders, financial & commercial management of sub-contracts to Final Account completion.
- Managing and reporting of forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in the site records & document control.
- Liaise with & commercially influence / challenge site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement.
- Manage & oversee Assistant Quantity Surveyors & Trainee Quantity Surveyors, checking & taking responsibility for their work & sign-off SMM / measurement issues.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in build projects.
- Experience working on large Hospital / Health care schemes (ideal for one of the projects).
- A relevant 3rd level qualification.
- Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
