HVAC Supervisor

The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This role ensures that HVAC work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Requirements

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise all HVAC activities on-site to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other site supervisors to align HVAC activities with overall project timelines.
  • Oversee daily operations and manage HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation and operation of HVAC systems.
  • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts related to HVAC work.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality in all HVAC installations and repairs.
  • Inspect HVAC materials and equipment for compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Conduct and document regular quality checks and tests.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with HVAC workers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to provide updates on HVAC progress and address any concerns.
  • Coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems within the overall project.
  • Maintain accurate records of HVAC work, including daily logs, inspection reports, and material receipts.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the project manager or senior management.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to HVAC technicians and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all HVAC work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC (e.g., EPA Certification, NATE Certification) and safety (e.g., OSHA) are advantageous
