We're excited to offer you a new opportunity to join our Lettings Accounts team as a Credit Control Assistant based in our Southampton office. This role is a full time, Fixed Term Contract position for 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out credit control for the Lettings Accounts team predominantly via phone or email
- Deal with queries regarding accounts and statements
- Allocate payments to correct accounts
- Chase and follow up on rent arrears
- Prepare and process landlord disbursements
- Pay contractors for maintenance and repair works
- Ensure compliance with deposit protection schemes (e.g., TDS, DPS)
Qualifications
- Background in Credit Control
- Previous industry experience ideal, although not essential
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Proficiency in property management software beneficial (Fixflow, Reapit)
- Good Excel and general IT skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and communication skills
