Welcome to Lomond, the UK's leading network of lettings and estate agencies. We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh. The role will be Monday to Friday with 1 to 2 days work from home a week.
It involves:
- Assist the production of monthly management accounts.
- Complete daily / weekly bank reconciliations.
- Post accruals and prepayments.
- Update fixed asset registers including the posting of depreciation.
- Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Chase customer debts and other credit control duties.
- Assist with the production of the yearend audit pack.
- Assist with quarterly VAT reporting.
- Supplier payment run review including dealing with queries.
- Perform any other duties which from time to time may be required to ensure the smooth running of the finance department.
We are looking for individuals with qualities such as:
- Experience of working in a previous similar role or a finance environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- IT literate/good knowledge of Microsoft packages/Excel/Word.
- Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and diversity.
- Demonstrable experience of administrative systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of the lettings or sales market.
