Now, we're happy to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Trainee Property Relationship Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Derby.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily property operations and tenant communications.
- Support leasing processes, inspections, and maintenance coordination.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and CRM updates.
- Resolve basic tenant queries and elevate issues when required.
- Build positive relationships with landlords, tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Learn compliance requirements, leasing documents, and property management systems.
- Support financial tasks such as rent tracking, arrears follow‑up, and invoice processing.
- Contribute to client service excellence and portfolio performance.
- Attend training sessions, shadow senior managers, and continuously develop property knowledge.
Specific Tasks
- Liaise with contractors, tenants and landlords to oversee property repairs, and ensure properties are maintained to high standards.
- Address tenant complaints promptly and enforce property standards and legislation.
- Arrange and book Property Inspections as and when required.
- Give feedback from Property inspections.
- Service the relevant notices to end a tenancy or increase rental values.
- Ensure properties in your portfolio are legally compliant.
Requirements
- Background in Customer Service beneficial.
- Understanding of the UK Lettings market advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
