Are you a qualified Beauty Therapy professional with teaching experience in Further Education? East Surrey College is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sessional Beauty Therapy Lecturer to join our team and inspire the next generation of beauty professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience and a recognised teaching qualification who is committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences and helping learners achieve their full potential.
Please note this is a sessional role – working hours are Thursdays 8.45 - 1pm, Fridays 8.45 - 2.30pm at East Surrey College. You will deliver engaging and inspiring Beauty Therapy lessons working closely with colleagues across the department, you will plan and deliver high-quality learning, prepare lesson materials and assessments, monitor learner progress, and provide effective tutorial support. You will maintain accurate records of attendance, retention and achievement, contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities. Above all, you will create an outstanding learning experience that motivates learners to achieve their goals while promoting equality, diversity and safeguarding in everything you do.
What We're Looking For
- A recognised teaching qualification (Level 3 or above)
- A Beauty Therapy qualification at Level 3 or above. We may consider candidates who are part qualified, i.e. at Level 3 or 4 (e.g. AET, CET)
- Relevant industry experience within Beauty Therapy
- Experience of teaching and assessing learners
- Excellent organisation, communication and planning skills
