Location: John Ruskin College – Croydon; East Surrey College – Redhill

Salary Range: £40,500.45 - £45,566.54 (Subject to qualifications, skills and experience)

Responsibilities

  • Visit learners in the workplace to assess their knowledge and learning for Plumbing courses across Levels 2-3.
  • Conduct practical assessments, monitor and track progress, train and assess, and deliver the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification within the workplace.
  • Build strong relationships with construction industry stakeholders on behalf of the College.
  • Ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.

Requirements

  • Be qualified to at least level three.
  • Hold a Certificate/Award in Assessing (Ideally IQA).
  • An understanding of the apprenticeship provision.
  • Have proven industry experience in the Plumbing industry.
  • Have a full clean UK driving license and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes as the role will involve travelling to local businesses.
  • Have excellent administrative and IT skills.
  • Experience of assessing and working with high profile employers would be advantageous.
  • The ability to plan and deliver a flexible workload.

It is also highly desirable for candidates to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance and a teaching qualification.
