As a Valued Member Of The Team, You Will
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and feedback that inspires learners to achieve their full potential.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills Maths lessons, along with ESOL classes where required.
- Act as a Course or Subject Leader where appropriate.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, course reviews, self-assessment, quality improvement activities, and continuous curriculum development.
- Promote high levels of learner attendance, retention, achievement, and progression.
- Use assessment and progress data effectively to identify learner needs and implement strategies that improve outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with vocational curriculum teams to ensure learners receive the academic support they need to succeed.
Many of our learners are resitting GCSE Maths or studying Functional Skills to improve their future opportunities. We are looking for an engaging and motivational teacher who can inspire confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and help students realise their potential.
About You
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
- Be qualified to degree level in Mathematics or possess an equivalent professional or industry-recognised qualification.
- Have significant experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths, ideally within a further education or college setting.
- Demonstrate excellent classroom practice with a passion for raising learner achievement.
- Be highly organised, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners and colleagues.
