We are looking for an experienced Brickwork professional who can inspire the next generation of construction professionals. In this role you will deliver teaching and learning to Brickwork students across levels 1–2, work closely with the Director of Learning, Programme Manager, and the Construction team, act as a personal tutor, promote attendance, participate in team meetings, prepare lesson plans/Schemes of Work, and contribute to overall planning, development, and review activities. You will also act as a course leader, complete quality assurance processes, and assess students’ work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver teaching and learning for Brickwork students levels 1–2
  • Act as a personal tutor for Level 1 & 2 students
  • Promote attendance and support student engagement
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to curriculum planning and review
  • Prepare lesson plans and Schemes of Work
  • Act as course leader and complete quality assurance processes
  • Assess student work

Qualifications

  • A teaching qualification or experience of training (or willingness to work towards a formal teaching qualification)
  • A Level 3 Trowel Occupations qualification
  • Experience delivering and assessing Brickwork, ideally within an FE environment
  • Experience of quality assurance in provision
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Experience working with Brickwork and Groundwork apprentices is an advantage but not essential
