Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping to create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment? We are seeking proactive and approachable Campus Officers to work across our college campuses, maintaining a visible and supportive presence for students and staff. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to students' college experience by encouraging attendance, engagement, positive behaviour and wellbeing.
As a Campus Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students throughout the college day, building positive relationships and helping to create a calm, welcoming and respectful campus environment. You will work closely with Safeguarding, Wellbeing, Inclusion, Mentoring and Curriculum teams to identify concerns early and ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping young people and adults achieve their potential and who can build positive, professional relationships with a wide range of people.
You Will Ideally Have
- Experience working with young people and/or adults in an education, youth work, community or similar setting.
- Experience supporting attendance, behaviour, participation or student engagement.
- Confidence in managing challenging situations using calm communication and de-escalation skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and online systems.
- GCSE Maths and English at Level 2 (or be willing to work towards these qualifications).
These are term time only roles and are based at East Surrey College. Interviews are expected to take place from 1st of September onwards.
