The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for the project. Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process. Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates.
  • Bid Preparation: Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for projects. Collaborate with the bidding team to develop competitive pricing strategies.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Clarify project requirements and negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, bid proposals, and related documentation. Update estimates based on changes in project scope or specifications.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and construction methods. Seek opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years previous experience as an estimator or in a relevant role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Building and Civil projects.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimates.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
