About The Opportunity
At John Paul College, we believe great teachers don’t just educate, they ignite ambition and inspire futures. We are seeking an exceptional Art Teacher to join our Primary School team on a part‑time basis, for a 1‑year contract, commencing Term 3, 2026 until the end of Term 2, 2027. This role will be 0.6 FTE, working Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week.

- Design and deliver a sequential, skills‑based Visual Arts curriculum that is integrated within the IB PYP transdisciplinary framework.

About You
We’re looking for an exceptional Primary Art Teacher who is ready to make a meaningful impact in our dynamic learning community from day one.
To Succeed in This Role, You Will Bring:
- Primary teaching qualifications and current QCT registration.
- Experience in the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated expertise in Visual Arts education, with the ability to teach across a range of media and techniques from Prep to Year 6.
- Will uphold the vision and values of John Paul College and support the Strategic Plan, Ignite Ambition.
- A record of delivering high‑quality, evidence‑informed teaching which demonstrates a sustained and measurable impact on student learning through the use of data, feedback, and reflective practice.
- A proven ability to create a well‑managed, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where student wellbeing is prioritised, enabling every learner to feel valued, engaged, and empowered to flourish.
- A growth mindset and commitment to reflective practice, and ongoing professional development.
