About The Role
John Moore Heritage Services is currently seeking staff at all levels to start in early 2026. Early applications are advised as offers will be made to suitable candidates before the closing date. The successful candidates will have the benefit of working with a small and friendly team, with ample opportunities for training, career progression and diversification. JMHS encourages and supports staff in their ongoing professional development and welcomes candidates who are looking to progress in their career. All posts are based at the Wheatley head office, with projects in Oxfordshire as well as across southern England. Accommodation is provided on all away jobs, subsistence paid and travel time remunerated.

Applicants must have at least 12 months commercial experience at that level. Experience in report writing for various scales of archaeological projects is essential. Candidates with less experience will be considered for Trainee Project Officer positions. The posts are permanent (subject to 6 month probation/training). The successful candidates will be required to undertake fieldwork projects and subsequent report writing. An ability to carry out digital illustration and familiarity with GPS survey equipment would be advantageous.
