Role Purpose
The focus of the role is on providing commercial finance business partnering to the management of London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and Cargo Business UKI. This is a hands-on role and will be involved in all financial aspects of the LHR ground handling and cargo business – internal and external financial reporting, flash, budget, forecast and rolling three-year plan. Alongside financial reporting it is expected the role holder will be involved in business development, provide management with valuable insights into financial drivers to support better decision making and helping to improve business performance.
The team comprises of a Finance Analyst and a Finance Manager, there may be occasions, such as busy periods or holidays where the analyst will be required to assist the wider regional finance team.
What you will be doing
- Preparation of month end accounts and related variance analysis
- Review “deep dive” cost analysis and work with station managers to control spend.
- Preparation and ownership of accurate annual budgets and other rolling monthly/quarterly forecasts
- Ownership of pricing proposals, CAPEX proposals and business cases
- Identification of opportunities and risks for the business units in the region
- Ownership of reporting on revenue collection and labour cost controls
- Monthly and ad-hoc review and analysis of station performance
