Role Purpose

The Head of IT & Airport Systems (Europe) will be responsible for managing and overseeing all IT and Airport Operational Systems across the European region. In addition, the role will also have responsibility for the continuous development, rollout and implementation as applicable on standardising our operational resource, planning and allocation tools. The post holder will work closely with the Menzies Aviation European Functional teams to provide best-in-class IT and Airport Systems support. This position requires a self-motivated team player who has leadership, oversight and management skills, is driven to achieve results and has the creativity and ambition to succeed.

What you will be doing

  • Monitoring and Maintaining IT service level within the region and act as the liaison officer between regional and corporate IT.
  • Managing the implementation of new systems, maintain a secure fit-for-purpose IT infrastructure and connectivity and manage existing operations and implementation of new IT processes and in accordance with ITIL standards and corporate policies.
  • Oversee the use of standard technology across the Europe regions sites, including development, implementation, and business assessment align the IT Strategy with the Europe region.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems following central governance and standards.
  • Day to day management of IT standard processes across the region including service management, internal, virtual ServiceDesk and security.
  • Work closely with the regional business lead to determine the maintenance and growth required for the network, applications and end user compute for all business across the region, provide requirements to central teams for sign off.

What we are looking for

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and dedication.
  • Degree/postgraduate qualification or demonstrable experience within IT or Project Management.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Experience in business development, sales, and commercial negotiation & pricing.
  • General management experience at a senior level.
  • Extensive management and/or support service experience, preferably in a ground handling, aviation, or a logistics environment.
