Role Purpose
This role is responsible for Commercial Financial management within Europe. In this role you have the opportunity to lead a consistent approach to pricing for our commercial offers across Europe and to introduce customer profitability analysis. Additionally, you will lead financial processes for business development in Europe and be accountable for the investment appraisal program in Europe. This role is critical to the success of our regional finance team. This is a hands-on role, focused on commercial activities including customer pricing, especially those that relate to multi-station proposals. The investment appraisal program within Europe, business development, M&A opportunities and acquisition/divestment projects. The development of strong working relationships with, amongst others, SVP Finance for Europe, the regional finance teams, local/regional business leaders, SVP Commercial and the Group reporting team is critical.
What you will be doing
- Lead financial responsibility & lead contact for Europe Commercial team regarding customer pricing scenarios and decision making for key accounts across multiple countries/stations.
- Ownership for controlling the investment appraisal program (CIP) within Europe, setting standards and defining relevant process improvements & efficiencies.
- Financial lead for Europe on Business Development, M&A opportunities and acquisition/divestment projects (including use of Salesforce Business Development system for the region).
- Leading the development & introduction of standardised customer profitability analysis across the region.
- Critically review, initiate and lead system & process improvement projects such as strategy evaluation, revenue recognition & labour analysis, scenario planning & application of commercial policy.

What we are looking for
- Qualified accountant (for example ACA, CIMA, ACCA, RC, Post graduate financial masters) with progressive post qualification experience preferred.
- Experience with evaluating and mitigating business and financial risks.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to identify, address and communicate issues and correction actions successfully at all levels.
- Pricing policy and practical application in business cases.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the region.
- Hands-on practical approach to providing guidance and direction in a challenging and dynamic business environment.
- Self-motivated, disciplined and flexible attitude to work.
