But at the heart of our business is our people.
The ideal candidate would be based in the UK or Amsterdam. This role is responsible for the Business Performance function within Europe. This is a hands-on role, focused on detailed performance analysis and the provision of forward-looking insights, which are aligned to the business objectives. The development of strong working relationships with, amongst others, SVP Finance for Europe, the regional finance teams, local/regional business leaders, SVP Commercial and the Group reporting team is critical.
What you will be doing:
- Lead responsibility for the planning & reporting processes within Europe for the production of the 5 Year Plan, Annual Budget, the periodic Forecasts, Monthly business performance reviews and weekly Flash reports.
- Review and interpret performance for trends and variations (including KPIs) delivering meaningful, accurate and timely reporting & analysis which translate these into actionable plans for communication to management and other key stakeholders.
- Ownership for and production of key management reports, including monthly Executive Management Review and Financial Performance Review presentations, in close conjunction with the senior European Management team.
- Rigorously drive & deploy standardised and harmonised management reporting across Europe. Such reporting is envisaged to include areas such as station performance overviews, daily trackers on productivity, automated variance/bridge analysis and scenario planning tools.
- Focus on understanding & solving business challenges with practical solutions based upon data-based insights.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified accountant (for example ACA, CIMA, ACCA, RC, Post graduate financial masters) with progressive post-qualification experience preferred.
- Experience with evaluating and mitigating business and financial risks.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to identify, address and communicate issues and correction actions successfully at all levels.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the region.
- Hands-on practical approach to providing guidance and direction in a challenging and dynamic business environment.
- Self-motivated, disciplined and flexible attitude to work.
