Role Purpose

In this role you will be responsible for the refuelling of passenger aircraft as per the service level agreement of the airline.

What you will be doing

  • To attend and refuel aircraft by vehicle Tanker/bowser as directed by the Allocators / Supervisor and/or Daily Worksheet.
  • Operating in accordance with Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs, Security, and MA ASIG regulations and procedures.
  • Operating on‑board aircraft switches in accordance with ASIG/Airline procedure.
  • Recording data manually and/or by computer.
  • Conducting vehicle checks by carrying out the designated quality control procedures.
  • Identifying any defects found and reporting accordingly.
  • Ensuring all vehicles are serviced with diesel/gas oil and necessary lubricants.
  • Maintaining regular radio/telephone contact for flight information and operating all forms of communications as provided.
  • Reporting any incidents and providing reports as required.
  • Carrying out other relevant tasks as directed by the Supervisor or regional manager.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrate high levels of awareness in relation to Health, Safety, Security and the Environment.
  • Valid driving license with LGV C+E.
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy skills required in addition to problem solving skills.
  • Good team working skills required with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Aircraft re‑fuelling experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Must have a checkable five‑year employment or educational history.
  • Excellent leadership, personal and communication skills are essential as is the need to be both adaptable and flexible.
