We are seeking a driven and experienced Production / Shift Manager to lead our night shift operations at our Moy facility. This is a key leadership role focused on delivering efficient, high-quality production while driving continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and compliance. You will take ownership of production performance, ensuring customer orders are delivered on time and in full, while promoting a proactive, team-oriented culture across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the production team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee relations.
- Drive a positive, engaged team culture with strong communication and leadership.
- Oversee product quality and process controls, ensuring all critical standards are consistently met.
- Introduce and embed quality systems, including supporting and leading BRC accreditation.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented where deviations occur.
- Deliver production targets in line with schedules and customer requirements.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency and reduce waste.
- Identify operational issues and provide technical solutions and production improvements.
- Take a hands-on leadership approach on the shop floor as required.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.
- Support lean initiatives and overall operational excellence across the business.
Essential
- Minimum 2 years experience in the food processing industry.
- Strong understanding of modern production methods.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and quality standards.
- Proven people management experience, including training and development.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Results-driven with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- IT literate and dependable.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
Desirable
- Experience in an FMCG, product-based environment.
- Experience with factory audits (e.g. BRC).
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Business Central.
- Experience in developing and coaching production teams.
