As our Operational Coordinator at our Magna Park National Distribution Centre (NDC), you will be the centre of our warehouse operation. Your primary objective is to ensure we have the right stock in the right place at the right time to maximise efficiency and ensure availability for our customers.
In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £3.25 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £4.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control the flow of work across areas to maximise efficiency and ensure stock is ready for loading.
- Allocate picks, print labels, and manage warehouse management system (WMS) queries to meet site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Proactively resolve pick face capacity issues, update Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) maintenance details, and manage short, over, or damaged items.
- Coordinate dock doors and schedules while building authentic relationships with Despatch and management teams to get things done.
- Act as a role model for Health and Safety, and coach or mentor peers to share best practices across the network.
Essential skills/experience:
- Previous warehouse experience within supply chains.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed, confident decisions.
- Competent in Google Suite or similar software.
- Ability to communicate across teams with clarity.
Desirable skills/experience:
- Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- A solid understanding of end-to-end (E2E) warehouse processes.
- Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) Fork Lift experience.
