As one of our Installation Specialists based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs, you will have the unique opportunity to bring our distinctive John Lewis service right to our customers' doors and install the products they love into their homes (such as furniture, kitchen appliances, sound systems, and TV sets) as part of a two-person delivery crew.

- Salary: Please note the expected starting rates for a Customer Delivery Hub, Driver Trainee will be £28,646 (Annual), Installer will be £32,149 (Annual) & Technician will be £34,353 (Annual).

Driver Trainee's key Responsibilities:
- Complete the 12 month Customer Delivery Driver Trainee programme to become a fully qualified John Lewis Customer Delivery Installer by meeting the relevant criteria.
- Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service as your number one priority.
- Assist in loading your vehicle with the daily deliveries while collaborating with the warehouse team.
- Show great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handle unexpected situations to find the best possible solution for your customers.
- Installing products efficiently and quickly for our customers and demonstrating how they work once installed.
- Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to perform your role at your best.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
Please note this role involves heavy lifting: You will spend a lot of time delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.
Essential skills/experience you'll need as a CDH Driver Trainee:
- UK B-Category manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Have great verbal communication skills both over the phone and face to face.
- Good understanding of technology and an interest in installation.
Desirable skills/experience you can bring to the Driver Trainee role:
- Previous experience of installation and customer delivery driving.
Driver Installer's key Responsibilities:
- Your day will see you start at the delivery hub where you are based before heading out on route where your responsibilities will include:
- Being an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service as your number one priority.
- Load up your lorry with the day's deliveries working alongside the warehouse team.
- Showing great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handling unexpected situations to find the best possible solution for your customers.
- Installing products efficiently and quickly for our customers and demonstrating how they work once installed.
- Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to ensure you perform your role at your best.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.

- Great verbal communication skills both over the phone and face-to-face.
- Good understanding of technology.
Desirable skills/experience you can bring to the Installer role:
- Installation and disconnection of white goods.
- TV installation.
- Assembly of a flat pack.
Driver Technician's key Responsibilities:
- Your day will see you start at the delivery hub where you are based before heading out on route where your responsibilities will include:
- Being an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service as your number one priority.
- Coach, develop and assess your delivery driver colleagues and give them the knowledge they need to perform at their best and represent our brand.
- Load up your lorry with the day's deliveries working alongside the warehouse team.
- Showing great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handling unexpected situations to find the best possible solution for your customers.
- Installing a variety of products (including wall-mount TVs, integrated appliances, hard-wired appliance installations). This will be completed efficiently and quickly for our customers and demonstrate how they work once installed.
- Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to ensure you perform your role at your best.
- Maintaining a safe working environment.
Please note this role requires heavy lifting: You will spend a lot of time delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses.

- Able to evidence the skills, knowledge and ability to complete the replacement of domestic light fittings, accessories and cooking appliances.
