As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll be working with many experienced technicians who will ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role, giving you the opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £3.25 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £4.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

About the Role:

  • To carry out scheduled repair and maintenance of the on-site E commerce light commercial fleet.
  • To carry out repair and maintenance of outlying commercial and light commercial vehicles for John Lewis and Waitrose branches and CDHs.
  • You’ll be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to deliver high-quality repairs carried out in a cost-effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflects the level of work carried out.

Essential Experience/Qualifications required:

  • City and Guilds Level 1, 2 and 3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness

Desirable Skills:

  • MOT Testing Qualification Class 4 & 7
  • IRTEC
  • LGV C+E Driving Licence
  • EV experience
