As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the blend of quality Waitrose produce and partner‑led service right to our customers’ doors. Your day will involve supporting the shop with tasks like stock replenishment, housekeeping and ensuring efficient shop operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check delivery routes for the day.
  • Load and prepare van for delivery, ensuring orders are correctly grouped for efficient drop‑off.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance, health and safety.
  • Represent the Waitrose brand on the road, delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Help customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
  • Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.

Essential skills and experience

  • Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Time‑management skills.
  • Ability to cope with physical demands (lifting crates, moving cages).
  • Comfortable working independently with self‑motivation and adaptability.
  • IT literate.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a driving role.
  • Knowledge of chilled vehicles.

Night Premium: Work between 22:00 – 06:00 attracts a premium rate of £3.75 per hour and applies to existing partners enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Closing Date: June 10, 2026

Pay: £14.31 per hour

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours of Work: Part time – Wednesday 06:45 – 15:00 and Saturday 07:00 – 15:15
