As a Supermarket Assistant, you will help ensure that the Waitrose brand is experienced by customers on every visit, providing partner‑led service and a passion for food.
In addition to your contractual pay, you will receive a night premium of £3.75 per hour for any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00. Applicants must be 18 years or over.
Key Responsibilities- Stock replenishment – keep shelves fully stocked and products in the right place at the right time.
- Fulfil online customer orders for drivers.
- Reduce wastage by following due diligence and markdowns for products near their sell-by dates.
- Support the shop team when needed (checkout support, Click & Collect orders, on-demand orders).
- Maintain a safe, tidy working environment with general shop-keeping tasks.
- Effective communication skills for working as part of a team and with customers.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Up-to-date knowledge and a strong interest in food and drink trends.
- Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
- Pre-employment vetting, including DBS checks, may be required.
