About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will help make a positive difference for our customers by delivering Partner‑led service and passion for food.

Your goal is to earn customers' trust and loyalty by giving a welcoming experience that sets Waitrose apart.

Working hours: 16.5 hours part‑time, night work across seven days, 01:00‑07:00, including weekends.

Night premium of £3.75 per hour applies for hours 22:00‑06:00.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock replenishment – keep shelves stocked and products in the right place at the right time.
  • Fulfil online customer orders for delivery drivers.
  • Reduce wastage by monitoring due dates and applying markdowns.
  • Support the shop team as needed, including checkout, Click & Collect and on‑demand orders.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Clear communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and support the team when required.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous customer‑facing retail experience.
