As a Customer Delivery Driver at Waitrose, you will deliver high‑quality produce to customers, representing the brand with excellent service. When not on the road, you will support front‑store operations, including stock replenishment and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Check delivery routes for the day.
- Load and prepare the van, ensuring all orders are grouped for efficient delivery.
- Perform vehicle safety checks to maintain full road compliance and health and safety standards.
- Act as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand, prioritizing great customer service.
- Help customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
- Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Full, valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
- Comfortable working independently, self‑motivated and adaptable.
- IT literate.
- Must be 18years or older.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
Pay: £14.31 per hour. Night Premium (£3.75 per hour) applies for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00.
Contract Type: Permanent. Hours of Work: Varied part‑time (Friday and Saturday), including late finishes, evenings and weekends between 14:15 and 22:15. Location: Swaffham, Norfolk (Swaffam, Castleacre Road, PE377HT).
