As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you'll help our difference be felt by our customers on every visit, providing the Partner‑led service and passion for food that our competitors cannot match. Your drive to go the extra mile to help both customers and Partners will make all the difference to the impression our customers have about the Waitrose brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the shop's management team with managerial tasks and work with all other areas to meet customer demand.
  • Ensure Partners operate safely and legally.
  • Fulfil online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver.
  • Replenish stock, keeping shelves full and products in the right place.
  • Provide checkout support, manage Click & Collect orders, fulfil on‑demand orders and more.
  • Drive the commercial performance of the shop, offering ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns on items approaching their sell‑by date.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shop‑keeping tasks.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent people and leadership skills.
  • Good understanding of retail and how to maximise commercial success.
  • Experience of working in a customer‑facing role.
  • Stakeholder management skills when working with third parties and the wider partnership.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Duty Manager Training (Internal Partners only).

Pay & Benefits

  • Pay: £14.58 per hour. Night Premium of £3.75 per hour for hours worked between 22:00 – 06:00 (also applies to existing Partners in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements).

Contract & Hours

  • Temporary contract. 29 hours per week, varied part‑time on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 16:00 – 23:45.

  • Ringwood (Waitrose & Partners), The Furlong, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 1AT.
