Retail Media has been identified as a key enabler of profit growth across JLP and is a priority for the Partnership. We are at the start of a transformation journey to evolve our capability in this space to deliver more personalised experiences and create compelling Retail Media propositions for clients. The role of Retail Media Marketing Activation Specialist involves delivering supplier-funded campaigns across Fashion and Beauty categories, managing both annual strategic plans and ad hoc activity. You will work with clients, the Retail Media sales team, channel specialists and Category Marketing teams to execute campaigns from briefing and coordination through to delivery against objectives and timelines. You will monitor campaign performance, support PCA reports, and collaborate with the Retail Media sales team to communicate results to clients and inform future plans. You should be highly organised, commercially minded and capable of using insights and performance data to optimise campaign effectiveness and drive strong outcomes for clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of the annual calendar of initiatives for clients (brands).
  • Manage the delivery of defined elements within an overall marketing campaign, including the marketing brief, channel and media plan, message hierarchy, creative execution, and delivery on time and on budget.
  • Coordinate supplier participation in brand and seasonal campaigns with brand/seasonal campaign teams.
  • Monitor performance of brand-funded campaigns and support the preparation of PCA reports; report performance back to clients and inform next year plans with the Retail Media Sales team.
  • Build meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders; inspire, excite and motivate teams across the business and manage client relations.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of activity across marketing and work with implementation teams to enable effective delivery across functions.
  • Escalate risks and take decisive action to resolve blockages.
  • Mentor and task-manage a team of Retail Media Marketing Activation Assistant(s).

Essential skills and/or experience:

  • Experience in campaign delivery within a retail or retail media environment.
  • Strategic brand management experience, project management experience and/or client management experience.
  • Experience of managing budgets.
  • Previous/current marketing/campaign activation experience.
  • Experience in marketing activation/optimising effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Experience of servicing brands/clients in a marketing environment (fashion and beauty preferable).
  • Experience working with external suppliers or agencies to activate media.

Desirable skills and/or experience:

  • Further qualifications in marketing or business.
  • Interest/knowledge of changing trends in the retail media external landscape.
  • Experience interpreting data and insights.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with media planning.
  • Experience communicating to senior stakeholders and clients.

Salary: £36,000.00 – £56,900.00 per annum. Salary up to: £45,000.00 per annum dependant on skill and experience. Contract type: Permanent. Hours: 35 hours per week. Location: London Pimlico Head Office. Hybrid working: minimum 2-3 days per week in the office.
