About the Role
As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you will help create a noticeable difference for our customers on every visit, delivering a Partner‑led service and passion for food that our competitors cannot match. Your drive to go the extra mile will strengthen customers’ trust and loyalty, while also contributing to the shop’s sales and profit. In addition to contract pay, any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 will attract a night premium of £3.75 per hour. Existing Partners who have enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements will also receive this premium.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the shop's management team with managerial tasks and collaborate with all shop areas to meet customer demand.
- Ensure Partners operate safely and legally.
- Fulfill online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver.
- Manage stock replenishment, keeping shelves full and products properly placed.
- Provide support across the shop, including checkout support, Click & Collect orders, on‑demand orders, and other assistance.
- Proactively drive commercial performance, offering ideas for continuous improvement.
- Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and applying markdowns to sell‑by‑date items.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shop‑keeping tasks.
