About the Role
As a Customer Delivery Driver you bring Waitrose produce and partner‑led service directly to customers.
When not on the road you will support the shop with tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping.
You must be 18 years or older.
Key Responsibilities
- Check delivery routes for the day.
- Load and prepare your van, ensuring all orders are grouped for efficient delivery.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks, maintaining full road compliance and health and safety standards.
- Represent the Waitrose brand on the road, delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assist customers with shopping, building rapport based on trust.
- Support the shop team with general tasks when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong time‑management abilities.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (e. g., lifting crates, moving cages).
- Self‑motivation, independence and adaptability.
- IT literacy.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
Benefits & Pay
Night
Premium: £3.75 per hour for hours between 22:00 and 06:00.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, varied across seven days including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.
