About the Role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner‑led service to customers’ doors. When not on deliveries, you’ll support the shop by assisting with stock replenishment and housekeeping, in a friendly and welcoming team environment. Night premium (£3.75 per hour) is paid for hours between 22:00 and 06:00. Attorneys must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check delivery routes for the day.
  • Load and prepare the van for deliveries, ensuring orders are grouped efficiently.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain full road, health and safety compliance.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand, prioritising excellent customer service.
  • Help customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust.
  • Support the shop team with general shop‑keeping tasks when needed.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than six points.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Time‑management skills.
  • Physical capability to lift crates and move cages.
  • Ability to work independently, self‑motivated and adaptable.
  • IT literate.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous driving role experience.
  • Knowledge of chilled vehicle handling.
