About the Role
You will serve as the Warehouse First Line Manager, leading a team of Partners to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
You will maintain a supportive and inclusive environment, providing guidance, training, and ensuring all team members have the resources they need to succeed.
This role includes leading the warehouse team, driving operational efficiency, ensuring safety, and supporting cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow and enforce all Health and Safety guidelines and legal requirements to keep everyone safe.
- Manage day‑to‑day warehouse tasks, identify opportunities to improve operations, and implement changes.
- Guide and train the team, provide consistent support, and serve as a reliable point of contact for all Partners.
- Act as Deputy Warehouse Shift Manager when required.
- Ensure all Partners are treated fairly, kindly, and with respect.
- Assist other teams on site when needed, including covering for the Warehouse Shift Manager on occasion.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 18years or older.
- Proven management or team‑lead experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems for inventory and operations tracking.
- Strong understanding of stock management and accurate monitoring of stock levels.
- Clear knowledge of Health and Safety laws and their application.
- Ability to handle team matters fairly, including formal policies such as disciplinary procedures in line with ACAS guidelines.
- IOSH certificate (preferred but not mandatory).
Benefits
Night premium: £4.75 per hour for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00.
Full‑time role, 37.5 hours per week, 14:00‑23:00, including weekends.
Permanent contract.
Location: Coulsdon Customer Fulfilment Centre, 11 Ullswater Crescent, London, CR52HR.
