We are seeking a collaborative Insights Implementation Analyst to build a robust data capture environment for our Financial Services team. You will lead the end-to-end site tagging process, partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement customized JavaScript tracking. This is an excellent growth opportunity for someone with a strong JavaScript foundation to influence our technical analytics strategy while working alongside our Data, Insights and Analytics (DI&A) team at one of the UK’s largest online retailers.
In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £5.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The John Lewis Money team has a set day per week in the office (Monday) and additional in-person attendance is required on an ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborating across the Financial Services team to gather requirements and define effective analytics and tracking strategies.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining customized JavaScript tracking code using tag management systems (e.g., Ensighten, Adobe, Google Analytics).
- Leading end-to-end tagging projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, effective cross-channel data collection.
- Performing rigorous data QA and troubleshooting to ensure reliable reporting and compliance with data security and protection policies.
- Managing multiple project workstreams, supporting partners and developers in delivering scalable technical solutions.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
- Experience in JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON.
- Knowledge of HTML, DOM, and event handling.
- Understanding of web protocols.
- Experience in data manipulation (e.g., scraping, regex).
- Strong implementation experience: tagging strategy, QA, and tag management.
- Familiarity with GCP.
- Understanding of digital marketing channels, ad serving, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Experience with SQL, ETL tools, and flat-file processing.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Experience helping to migrate from Adobe to Google technologies.
