What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working on our large HGV fleet, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both DVSA and Partnership requirements. Ensure all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations and reported accurately using Key2 fleet management programme. Apply best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to carry out high‑quality, cost‑effective repairs, ensuring spare parts and consumables are used appropriately.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
  • Full UK Manual driving licence A.
  • Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.

Desirable Skills

  • IRTEC qualification.
  • LGV licence.
  • C+E driving licence.

Working Hours

Full‑time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, with Saturday mornings worked one week in two. Week 1: Monday to Friday 06:00‑14:00. Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14:00‑22:00; Friday 13:00‑21:00.

Pay and Premiums

Salary up to £55,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, with overtime readily available. Evening premium 18:00‑22:00 at £3.25 per hour; night premium 22:00‑06:00 at £4.25 per hour.
