As a Partner on our service counters you will showcase your knowledge and passion for food while proudly promoting ethically sourced offerings, recommending recipes to customers, and enthusiastically extending the Waitrose brand. You will build lasting relationships, earn customers’ trust and loyalty, and help maximise sales and profit. Work between 22:00 and 06:00 will attract a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for your own food counter, ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
- Stay on top of stock levels, ensuring the products customers love are available when needed.
- Handle open food with care while following due diligence and health & safety protocols to reduce food wastage.
- Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose’s food values, such as animal welfare.
- Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.

- Strong communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

- Hours of Work: Varied, full‑time (up to 37.5 hours per week) across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends from 05:00 to 20:30.
- Job Level: Partnership Level 10
- Eligibility: Minimum age 18 years.
- Pre‑employment vetting may be required, including DBS checks.
