As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers at Waitrose, you’ll bring our high‑quality produce and Partner‑led service right to customers’ doors. You will support the shop team while out on delivery routes and when back in store. Working hours are 20 hours per week, with varied shifts from 05:30 to 22:30. 22:00‑06:00 shifts earn a night premium of £3.75 per hour. The role is permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check delivery routes for the day.
  • Load and prepare the van, ensuring all orders are grouped for efficient delivery.
  • Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain road compliance.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand, providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport.
  • Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Valid UK B‑category manual driving licence with no more than six points.
  • Excellent customer service and time‑management skills.
  • Physical capability to lift crates and move cages.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to work independently.
  • IT literate.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous driving role experience and knowledge of chilled vehicle operation.
