As a Supermarket Assistant, you’ll help create a memorable experience for our customers by delivering partner‑led service and a passion for food that sets the Waitrose brand apart. Your enthusiasm and willingness to go the extra mile will earn customers trust and loyalty, keeping them coming back over and over again.

Night Premium of £3.75 per hour is awarded for any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00. Existing Partners who are enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements will also qualify for this premium. Candidates must be 18 years or older in accordance with working time regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Stock replenishment – keep shelves fully stocked and products displayed in the right place at the right time.
  • Fulfilling online customer orders for truck delivery.
  • Reduce wastage by applying due diligence and marking down items near their sell‑by dates.
  • Support the wider shop team including checkout support, Click & Collect order handling, on‑demand customer orders and other shop‑keeping tasks as required.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment through general shop‑keeping duties.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Effective communication skills to work successfully with colleagues and customers.
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
  • Prior experience in a customer‑facing retail role.
  • Current knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
  • Flexible approach to support the entire branch.

  • Pay: £13.00 per hour (£13.25 after 90 days)

  • Night Premium: £3.75 per hour for work between 22:00 and 06:00.
