Customer Delivery Drivers deliver Waitrose produce with high-quality, partner-led service to customers' doors. When not on the road, you will support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping. The role includes a Night Premium of £3.75 per hour for time worked between 22:00 and 06:00, applicable to existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. Must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check delivery routes for the day and prepare the van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and ready for direct customer delivery.
  • Conduct vehicle safety checks, maintain road compliance, and uphold health and safety standards.
  • Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
  • Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required.

Essential skills / experience

  • Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (lifting crates, moving cages).
  • Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and adaptable.
  • IT literate.

Desirable skills / experience

  • Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
