About the Role

As one of our Installation Trainees, you will be training to become a qualified and accredited home installation specialist with the support of our knowledgeable team based in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs. Once fully trained, you will have the unique opportunity of bringing our distinctive service right to customers' door and installing products such as furniture, large electrical appliances, sound systems and TV sets as part of a 2‑person delivery crew, driving a 7.5‑tonne vehicle.

In addition to your base pay, any time worked between 18:00 – 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium of £3.25 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 – 06:00 will attract a Night Premium of £4.25 per hour. This applies to existing partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. Due to its nature, you must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for the brand with great customer service as your number one priority.
  • Help load your lorry with the day’s deliveries, working alongside the warehouse team.
  • Demonstrate great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handle unexpected situations to find the best possible solution.
  • Install products efficiently and quickly, demonstrating how they work once installed.
  • Keep up to date with new products and technologies to perform your role at your best.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Manual C1 UK driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points).
  • DCPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) or Driver Qualification Card by the first day in the role.
  • Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience driving a 7.5‑tonne vehicle.
  • Previous experience in a customer‑facing role.
  • Great verbal communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
  • Good understanding of technology.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Installation and disconnection of white goods.
  • TV installation.
  • Assembly of a flat pack.

  • Hours of Work: Full time (41 hours per week) – Wednesday to Saturday 06:00 – 17:00 or Wednesday to Friday 10:00 – 21:00 and Saturdays 07:00 – 18:00
