As a Customer Delivery Driver you will bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and partnership‑led service directly to customers’ doors.

You will also support the shop team with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to a friendly and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check delivery routes for the day.
  • Load and prepare the van, ensuring all orders are grouped for efficient delivery.
  • Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance and health & safety standards.
  • Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service as the top priority.
  • Help customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
  • Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than six points.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Time‑management skills.
  • Physical ability to lift crates and move cages.
  • Independent, self‑motivated and adaptable.
  • IT literacy.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous driving role experience, especially with chilled vehicles.

Eligibility: You must be 18 years or older.

If you work between 22:00 and 06:00 you will receive an additional night premium of £3.75 per hour.

Existing partners enrolled in the Enhanced Hours Premium arrangement will also receive this premium.
