About the role
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll be bringing the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. When you’re not out on the road, you’ll be back at the shop supporting the team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the efficient and productive running of the shop in a friendly and welcoming team.

Key Responsibilities
- Start your day in store and be responsible for checking your delivery routes for the day.
- Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered direct to customers.
- Complete the appropriate vehicle safety checks on your van, maintaining full road compliance and health and safety.
- Be an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority.
- Help customers with their shopping and build rapport with them based on trust and service.
- Support the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.
Essential skills/experience
- Full valid B-category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Great customer service skills.
- Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting crates, walking up stairs, moving cages).
Desirable skills/experience
- Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles are welcomed; training will be provided to perform at your best.
Varied hours of part-time work across seven days to include early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends between the hours of 06:00 – 22:00.
