About the roleWe're searching for a creative, strategic, and talented Senior Communications Business Partner to join the John Lewis Partnership team. You’d initially lead on partnering our emerging lines of business (John Lewis Money and Build to Rent) and our corporate functions including Technology, Finance, Strategy, Sustainability, Safety, and Security. Your role involves developing relationships with senior leaders and anticipating their communication needs. Working closely with your colleagues in corporate PR, you’d lead enterprise-wide campaigns such as financial results, sharing progress against our Partnership Plan, and the rollout and safe use of AI tools.

- Salary range: £55,300.00 - £83,000.00
- Contract type: 12-month contract
- Working pattern/flexible working: The Partnership has adopted a hybrid approach, allowing a mix of office and home working based on personal needs, with around 2 days a week in the office and ad-hoc attendance for key meetings.
You will have proven experience in these areas:

- Tone of voice and style: Ensuring all communications reflect the Partnership’s tone and style to engage Partners effectively.
- Listening and influencing: Connecting with stakeholders to inform and influence outcomes.
- Planning: Contributing to and reviewing our communication planning tools to ensure timely messaging.
- Understanding of engagement theory with successful practical experience in employee engagement.
- Experience in developing engagement strategies across multiple business areas.
- Experience in change communications (e.g., TUPE, mergers, restructures).
- Knowledge of modern communication channels.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing senior employees.
- Knowledge of measurement techniques.
- Leadership communication skills and coaching experience.
- Outstanding copywriting, design, and creative skills.
