About the role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help our customers experience the difference we offer by providing Partner-led service and a passion for food that sets us apart. Your dedication to going the extra mile will enhance the reputation of the Waitrose brand, earning customer trust and loyalty for a lifetime.
Note: Due to working time regulations, applicants must be 18 years or over.
Additional pay: You will receive a shift premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00, paid at the role's minimum pay rate.
Key Responsibilities- Stock replenishment to ensure shelves are well-stocked and products are correctly placed.
- Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
- Reducing wastage through product diligence and markdowns on near-expiry items.
- Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout, Click & Collect, and on-demand orders.
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized work environment.
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
- Experience in a customer-facing role.
- Interest and knowledge in food and drink trends.
- Flexibility to support various branch functions.
Part-time position (16 hours/week): Sundays 18:00-02:00 and Fridays 21:00-07:00.
