As a Customer Assistant in one of our John Lewis shops, you will deliver outstanding customer service, maintain shop standards, and support sales throughout the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging customer service at every stage of the journey
- Use product knowledge and sales training to drive sales and increase profits
- Proactively acknowledge customers, understand their needs, and resolve queries
- Support the wider team flexibly, including till support, stock replenishment, price ticketing and general shop‑keeping tasks
- Identify areas of improvement and implement solutions
- Support accurate stock counts to protect profits
Qualifications and Skills
- Basic IT literacy
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in a customer‑facing role is welcomed but not essential; we will provide full training
- Experience with merchandising and product displays is desirable
