As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner‑led service right to our customers’ doors. When you’re not on the road, you’ll support the shop with daily tasks such as stock replenishment and housekeeping, helping the shop run efficiently in a friendly and welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities
- Check your delivery routes for the day.
- Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
- Perform vehicle safety checks, maintain full road compliance, health and safety.
- Act as an ambassador for the Waitrose brand on the road, prioritising great customer service.
- Help customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
- Support the wider shop team when required with general shop‑keeping tasks.
Qualities & Qualifications
- Full valid B‑Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Must be 18 years old or older.
- Great customer service skills.
- Time‑management skills.
- Ability to cope with physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting crates, moving cages).
- Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self‑motivated and adaptable.
- IT literate.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles.
