About the role

You will be providing accurate estimates for the supply and fitting of John Lewis window products in customers’ homes. Focus on engaging, inspiring and delighting our Customers in delivering a market leading customer experience.

We are recruiting for four heads across our London catchment area: two based in the Horsham catchment covering from Brighton to Kingston, and two based in the Brent Cross catchment covering North, West and Central London areas.

You will have access to a business use vehicle.

Salary £30,500 - £43,300.

Contract type This position is a Permanent contract.

Working pattern 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday on a rota basis.

Location This is a mobile position and travel is required visiting customers’ homes. You will be required to attend the office for occasional meetings and training.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out a quote on window dressing products (curtains & blinds) and convert the quote into a sale.
  • Promote and provide an accurate quote for the fitting of the selected product.
  • Manage your day independently, using effective time management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide customers with accurate estimates using our computerised systems and conduct full on-site surveys of customer properties for project preparation and material estimation; demonstrate excellent communication skills and aim for acceptance of the plans by every customer.
  • Drive regularly between the branch, customer homes and the service building, using the provided business use vehicle.
  • Occasionally visit a John Lewis branch to keep product knowledge up to date.
  • Route all customer appointments from and back to your designated ‘home’ branch and be prepared to travel to the branch outside of working hours using your vehicle.

Essential skills/experience

  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Excellent customer service and selling skills.
  • IT literacy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Confidence working independently.

Desirable skills/experience

  • Proven sales experience.
  • Understanding of window dressings.
  • Experience working with home products.
