Overview
As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you will bring Waitrose produce and Partner-led service to customers’ doors. When not on the road, you’ll support the shop with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping to help the shop run efficiently in a friendly, welcoming team.
Night Premium: any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 attracts a premium of £3.50 per hour. This also applies to existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Age requirement: you must be 18 years or older to work in this role.
Location: Swindon (Waitrose) and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Checking your delivery routes for the day.
- Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks, maintaining road compliance, and health and safety standards.
- Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
- Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Great customer service skills.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
- Comfortable working independently with self-motivation and adaptability.
- IT literate.
Desirable skills/experience
- Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles would be welcomed.
