About the role
As a Chef, you\’ll be working as part of our friendly kitchen brigade to ensure the efficient day-to-day running of our kitchens and assist in providing a consistently high-quality dining experience for our customers or Partners, depending on your location. You\’ll lead and inspire the kitchen team to create exceptional culinary experiences that leave a lasting impression, using your creativity and flair to develop and execute a food offer while ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, innovation, cost control, health, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the kitchen team to create exceptional culinary experiences in a small to large kitchen environment.
- Demonstrate decisiveness and excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Follow procedures and instructions using the \’Health and Safety at Work Act\’ and \’Food Safety Act\’ when completing all relevant tasks, ensuring the rest of the kitchen team do too.
- Ensure a clean and tidy working environment.
- Lead and develop the rest of the kitchen team.
- Maintain good sales, reputation, and profit of the kitchen.
Essential skills/experience you\’ll need
- Food safety level 1 (or higher level).
- Health & Safety level 1 (or higher level).
- NVQ level 1 and 2.
- Experience of working within a customer service-based environment.
- Experience of working within a catering environment.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Experience of working within a customer service-based environment.
Working hours
45 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 6am – 4pm. Fridays and Saturdays off, with flexibility around events and holidays.
